This freeware Mac program is a semi-port of nslookup for UN*X. For years now, I have not seen one for the Mac that has the same features as nslookup, so I decided to make one. So here it is.
I would like to thank everyone (to numerous to list, else I would!) that e-mailed me their appreciation and their suggestions for improving this program. I wouldn't have otherwise been able to get this version with all the improvements out so soon. Thanks!
Before you run it...
...you should have an address of a DNS server handy, preferably the one in charge of your local network. The first time you run the program, the program will ask you for it.
For more information, read the documentation file that came with the program.
About the me & my program:
This was written in Codewarrior C++. This version is freeware, but not for the public domain. Hopefuly there aren't many bugs in this version, but bear in mind that I'm a math student and NOT A PROGRAMMER and writing clean code is not a specialty of mine. (However, if you get stuck on a math homework problem, maybe I can help you ;-)
...in any case, if you find problems or have suggestions for the program, please help me and the poor little program out. Drop me a line at:
a540pau@pic.ucla.edu
...and I'll see what I can do to fix it.
Bye!
-Paul.
P.S. If you are reading this and it is after November 1996, I will have graduated by then, so my pic.ucla.edu address will be history. Sorry. OK Bye.
